Meric Ekren’s yoga journey has begun while volunteering as an English teacher in Sri Lanka. What started as a coincidental introduction to asanas inspired her to further explore the roots of this ancient tradition, followed by a teacher training. Having worked a demanding career in the corporate world for many years in London, Yoga came in to her life as a remedy for balance and inner calm. She loves dynamic styles of movement as well as restorative practices. She also teaches Mystical Dance to female practitioners with an aim to embody authentic divine feminine. Her classes are invitations to discover and reclaim strength, body awareness, grace and soft power on & off the mat. She is based in Norway and continue to offer classes to a variety of backgrounds and abilities. Her most enjoyable work comes from serving the inmates at the local prison where she teaches Ashtanga yoga.
