Balancing poses take a combination of steadiness, ease, and a lot of focus. In this flow class, we start in “Samastitihi”, standing evenly on our feet. We refer back to this “same standing” as we play with more challenging poses, exploring how Samastitihi is the foundation for balancing. We explore some of the poses we’ll be doing in a variety of ways, on or backs, with the hands touching and finally on one foot. We’ll flip samastitihi upside down, playing with handstand prep, and conclude with finishing poses and savasana. A great class, if you’re looking to quiet the mind and get focused.
