For many yoga practitioners, Padmasana—the full lotus seat—is a must-have in the practice. However this position is not to be underestimated, and often requires years of preparation in releasing the hips. Misplaced ambition can lead to pain in the knees that will severely restrict the practice. In this class we’ll take some time to discover the most important elements of this challenging pose, and find our way step by step towards the lotus seat. As the lotus flower can only bloom in muddy ground, so must we learn to see obstacles and resistance as factors that help us along the journey. Are you curious?
