Tadasana is the fundamental standing asana of which all standing poses are built from. In most forms of yoga the pose consists of feet together and hands at the sides of the body. Although Tāḍāsana is one of the most basic asanas, there is a multitude of small components to this pose that require your attention and practice in order to perfect it. As such, Tāḍāsana is important in the context of other āsanas because it allows the body and consciousness to integrate the experience the preceding āsana and prepare for the next.
