    Switch Doctor

Generally speaking, the right hemisphere of the brain is responsible for creative thinking and the left for logical reasoning. Each of us has a dominant side. Psychologists theorize right-hand dominant people tend to be more left brained and vice versa, though even truly ambidextrous people can be either more creative or logical. Everyone is both a genius and an idiot in their own unique way, and that’s what makes life interesting. The two hemispheres of your brain are separated by a groove called the medial longitudinal fissure. Within this groove is a communication highway, the corpus callosum, a bundle of nerve fibers providing the means for coordination and transfer of information between the two hemispheres. Cerebral hemispheric balancing does not make you smarter, but rather stimulates communication between your right and left-brains in the name of integration and balance. ‘Task switching’ is the ability to adapt to changing circumstances. Switching from one side of the body to the other in Zyre Yoga forces the corpus callosum to fire. Balancing in postures such as Tree or Warrior 3 stimulates these bundles of nerves to light up like fireworks. Coordinate that with the oxygenating effect of deep Ujjayi breathing and the focusing effect of intense body awareness, and you’ve got a recipe for a healthy, happy brain. ‘Switch Doctor’ is a cerebral-synchronizing, body-coordinating, core-solidifying party for one. Your brain and butt will never be the same. Level 3. Enjoy!
