Power

Power Yoga is a powerful, energetic form of yoga that moves fluidly from one pose to the next while connecting breath to movement. It consists of both standing and sitting sequences and incorporates strength, flexibility, balance, cardio and physical and mental stamina. Power Yoga strikes a balance between the originating values of yoga found in India and the more modern American demands for physical exercise.  Though Power Yoga classes can vary widely from teacher to teacher, they will appeal to people looking for a physical and mental challenge with a minimal amount of chanting and meditation with their yoga. Prepare to work hard and work up a sweat.
